Wait, what? No way!?

I was scrolling through Insta and saw a post that Bob Sinclar is coming to CELAVI Tokyo. I had to share this with you all, so I decided to write this up.

Where at?

When: Sat, 6/15. Doors open at 10 PM.
Where: CELAVI Tokyo
Address: Tokyu Plaza, 17th and 18th floors, 1 Chome 2-3 Dogenzaka, Shibuya, Tokyo.

Could this really be happening?

It’s happening on 6/15 (Sat) at the CELAVI rooftop area. If it rains, it’ll be held in the club lounge. Check with the venue for more details.

From my experience, international artists sometimes bail last minute.

Bob Sinclar Profile:

Bob Sinclar is a legendary French DJ and music producer. Known for his infectious house beats and massive hits like “Love Generation” and “World, Hold On,” he’s been making waves in the music scene since the late ’90s. With a career spanning decades, Bob Sinclar has played at the world’s top clubs and festivals, bringing his unique sound and energy to dance floors everywhere. Don’t miss the chance to experience his epic set live!

Born in Douarnenez, France, Bob Sinclar was into soccer and Black music from a young age. He seriously started his music career at 17. His second single, “I Feel For You,” hit number 9 on the UK Singles Chart.

In 2005, he released “Love Generation,” which became a massive hit and was the official anthem for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. His seventh single, “World, Hold On,” and ninth single, “Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now),” both made it to the top 10 and top 5 in many countries. “World, Hold On” was even nominated for a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording.

In 2010, he dropped the album “Made In Jamaica.” The single “I Wanna” featured Jamaican reggae singer Shaggy. This album was nominated for Best Reggae Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards.

Sure thing! Here are three Bob Sinclar tracks:

Bob Sinclar & SAHARA / I wanna ft. Shaggy

Bob Sinclar’s track “I Wanna,” featuring Shaggy, was released as a single from the album “Made in Jamaica” in 2010. This album garnered a nomination for Best Reggae Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards. With its fusion of reggae and dance music elements, “I Wanna” showcases Sinclar’s versatility as a producer and Shaggy’s smooth vocals, making it a standout track on the album and earning critical acclaim.

Bob Sinclar / Love Generation

“Love Generation” is truly a special song. When you consider that it was released 15 years ago, you can really feel the passage of time. Having played it numerous times during your DJ days in Tokyo adds even more meaning to it. Music has a way of transcending time and touching us deeply.

Bob Sinclar / Rock This Party

“By the way”

“Rock This Party” was released by Tommy Boy Records. Tommy Boy is well-known for producing classics such as Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise,” Naughty by Nature’s “Hip Hop Hooray,” and House of Pain’s “Jump Around.”

By the way, on Tommy Boy’s YouTube channel, there’s a playlist called “Tommy Boy Classics” featuring a bunch of cool tracks. You should definitely check it out sometime.

“Check out the DJ play of the world-famous DJ Bob Sinclar and get ready to experience it on the day!”

“About the venue, CELAVI Tokyo…”

“I’ve only been there once, but it’s a recommended spot that I’d love to visit again.

I’ve heard that it’s backed by the capital of Singapore, Marina Bay Sands, so the staff’s service is top-notch, meeting international standards.

When I visited, there were many foreigners, creating a vibrant international atmosphere. The ratio of VIP sections to dance floors is significant, so getting a VIP table is recommended.

During my visit, I lucked out with an available seat and knew someone on the VIP staff, so I got to sit down. But, without a doubt, the VIP table area was much more comfortable.

As this party is on the rooftop area, I’m not sure how many VIP tables will be available, so it’s a good idea to contact the venue or promoter early to secure one.

I’ll leave the link to CELAVI Tokyo’s website here. You can make table reservations through there.”

“And let me tell you, the weekends in AE Tokyo don’t end at 5 in the morning. If anything, that’s when the real fun begins.

Even if you’re coming from Shibuya, be sure to swing by! We can talk about darts, karaoke, and clubbing.”
